About MoneyMajlis
Money Majlis is the only podcast of its kind in the region covering the latest developments in banking, technology, fintechs and marketing, and since its launch in April 2024, has gained a loyal base of listeners across 110+ countries.
Currently in its Season 2, it is among the top 5 business podcasts in the Middle East, and the Number 1 business podcast produced in the UAE. It was recently awarded the Best New Podcast for 2024 at the PodClub people’s choice awards in Dubai.
Sarkar hosts a senior banking, marketing or technology leader in every episode of his audio podcast that is released alternate Fridays. In recent months Money Majlis has featured, among others, the global CEO of IBM, the global CMO of Mastercard, the founder of India’s biggest fintech Paytm, the CEO of South East Asia’s biggest bank, futurist Brett King and fund manager Mark Mobius. Every episode explores consequential topics on the present and future of financial services, technology and marketing in an informative and entertaining format. An occasional XTRA episode of the podcast covers topics outside business : arts, culture, food, fashion and sports.

Meet the Host
Suvo Sarkar
Suvo Sarkar is an international banker with a vintage of 37 years in consumer banking, payments and wealth management. His last role was to oversee the global retail banking and private banking businesses at Emirates NBD, the most profitable bank in the Middle East. He is also the founder of the region's first digital bank Liv. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Retail Banker International Lifetime Achievement Award.
Suvo currently runs his own advisory business that focuses on data, digitization and design of financial services. His clients include McKinsey & Co, Mastercard and IBM. He is based in Dubai and hosts a popular fortnightly podcast called Money Majlis on banking, technology and marketing.
