Paul Griffiths is CEO of Dubai Airports, responsible for Dubai International (DXB), the world's busiest airport for international passengers for 11 years running, and Dubai World Central (Al Maktoum International), now the site of a multi-billion-dollar expansion. He became Dubai Airports' first CEO in 2007 and has overseen the opening of DXB's Terminal 3, the launch of DWC, DXB's billionth passenger and one of the fastest post-Covid recoveries in global aviation, with DXB handling more than 90 million guests a year to over 250 destinations. He has worked to one mandate from Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum: never constrain the growth of aviation in Dubai. Before Dubai he was managing director of London Gatwick Airport and a board director of Virgin Travel Group. A serious musician and organist, he still plays.
