As a journalist and correspondent she travelled across most of China for 20 years, covering business, the economy, the environment and social issues, hosting radio and TV programmes about the country and interviewing Alibaba founder Jack Ma. She has written several books about business in China, followed the global expansion of Chinese companies, and lived in Asia for years, most recently in Shanghai and Singapore. She has been appointed to the Danish government's China expert panel, and with her husband leads in-depth tours of leading Chinese companies for business executives. She has followed China's shift from low-cost manufacturing to high-tech innovation.
